Decon Standardization

Since 2002 the NVHA has focused on developing capabilities at each member hospital to perform gross decontamination on victims of an emergency involving hazardous materials.  This has included the provision or installation of shower systems; purchase of Level C Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other investments.  A major initiative of 2011 is to standardize the training curriculum that each member will use to train staff members who are part of their individual Decon teams.  When complete, the project will include standardized awareness and operations level training materials to include video training and interactive PowerPoint presentations.  For more information click here
